From Struggles to Healing: My Counselling Path

Why I became a counsellor?
There was a time when I didn’t know how I could keep going. I woke up every day feeling weighed down by anxiety, unable to shake the fog that clouded everything I thought and did. Some days, it felt like all I could do was stay in bed, disconnected from the world, isolated by my own fears and doubts. I struggled with depression, anxiety that I could physically feel in my chest, and addictions to things like social media, porn, and video games, just to numb the pain.
I’ve experienced heartbreak, the loss of my father, physical injuries, and countless moments where I felt like nothing was going to get better. I know what it’s like to feel stuck, like no matter how hard you try, life just keeps knocking you down.
But I also know that healing is possible. I’ve walked through those dark moments, and though it wasn’t easy, I found my way out. Slowly, I began to understand my struggles, and that’s what led me to become a therapist. Facing my own pain gave me the strength to help others do the same.
Today, I’m a registered psychotherapist, and I’m passionate about supporting people who feel lost, overwhelmed, or consumed by anxiety, depression, or grief. I’ve been where you are, and I know that even though it feels impossible right now, things can get better.
Therapy isn’t about having all the answers, it’s about creating a safe space where you can be heard, understood, and supported as you work through life’s challenges. Whether you’re dealing with depression, anxiety, the aftermath of loss, or anything else that’s weighing you down, I’m here to walk with you through it.
You don’t have to go through this alone. Healing starts when you take that first step, and I’m here to help you find your way.
